Leadership

Founding Coaches

Chris Probert

Founder & Head Coach

Chris Probert is the Founder and Head Coach of Alpine Racing Collective, Park City’s newest and fastest-growing youth alpine ski program. With over 13 years of vision behind it, Chris launched ARC to redefine athlete development through technical precision, biomechanical principles, and a strong team culture.

His coaching philosophy is grounded in the Harb University biomechanical teaching system — implemented consistently across the entire coaching staff, creating a unified approach that supports every athlete’s progression from U8 through U14.

Under Chris’s leadership, ARC earned US Ski & Snowboard Bronze Podium Club status in under six months — an accomplishment that typically takes well-established clubs years to achieve.

When Chris isn’t coaching, he’s exploring new training ideas or skiing with his wife and kids — proud ARC family members.

Cody Marshall

Alpine Program Director & Head Coach

Retired US Ski Team athlete and former World Cup slalom racer. Cody was inspired to race after watching Phil and Steve Mahre win gold and silver at the Sarajevo Olympics — thirteen years later, he stood in the World Cup start gate himself.

After retiring, Cody blended coaching with a career in private equity, including guiding his wife — three-time Olympian Megan McJames — in her own racing career. At ARC, he brings a rare combination of World Cup experience, coaching insight, and business leadership.

Off the hill: mountain biking, golfing, and adventuring with his wife and two daughters.

Brian Stephens

Foundation/Technical Head Coach

Competed for Snowbird Ski Team and at FIS level. University of Colorado graduate. Brings infectious energy and technical depth to ARC’s youngest athletes, building a lifelong love of the sport.

Casey Dowson

U14 (Mastery) Assistant Coach

Casey grew up racing with the Jackson Hole Ski Club, competing through the FIS level before transitioning into coaching. With more than seven years of coaching experience, he has worked across a variety of programs and with athletes ranging in age from 7 to 70, giving him a broad perspective on athlete development and the different ways skiers learn and progress.

Casey is passionate about creating an athlete-first environment where skiers feel supported, challenged, and confident enough to take risks. He believes meaningful development happens when athletes are given the freedom to push beyond their comfort zones, make mistakes, learn from them, and come back stronger.

For Casey, the most rewarding part of coaching isn’t simply race-day results—it’s watching the work athletes put in throughout the season come together. Whether that means a breakthrough in technique, newfound confidence, reaching a competitive goal, or growth that carries beyond skiing, seeing athletes recognize what they’re capable of is what keeps him passionate about coaching.

At ARC, Casey brings a strong racing background, years of coaching experience, and a philosophy that aligns closely with our commitment to developing confident, resilient athletes both on and off the mountain.
