Best Ski Teams in Utah & Park City: Youth Ski Racing Guide
Every youth alpine race team in Utah, how they differ, and how to pick the right one for your U8–U14+ racer. Written by Alpine Racing Collective (ARC), a Park City race team, for families comparing programs.
Updated October 2026. Club list from the Intermountain Division (IMD) of U.S. Ski & Snowboard club directory. ARC wrote this guide; we describe other clubs only by facts each club publishes and link to them so you can compare directly.
Quick answer
The “best” Utah ski team depends on your athlete. Large clubs such as Park City Ski & Snowboard (PCSS) offer many disciplines and big teams. Rowmark Ski Academy in Salt Lake City combines racing with school, typically for older athletes. Resort teams at Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbasin, Sundance and Beaver Mountain train at their home mountain. Alpine Racing Collective (ARC) in Park City is the small, alpine-only option: a 6:1 athlete-to-coach ratio, capped training lanes, published pricing, and placement based on a video of your athlete.

Ski team vs. ski academy
A ski team (club) trains after school and on weekends while athletes stay at their regular school. That’s the model for most U8–U14 racers, including ARC, PCSS and the resort teams. A ski academy such as Rowmark combines school and training and typically serves older athletes. Many academy athletes start on a club team first.
